December's meeting was a demonstration of how to construct a boxwood tree table decoration.
Here, our demonstration leader, Sarah Hall, assists member in choosing ornaments for their trees.

Our Wolfeboro Garden Club tree is all decked out for the holidays. You should really stop by and see her. The Festival hours are:
Thursday, Dec 1, 6pm - 8pm, Opening Gala, $75 tickets in advance
Saturday, Dec 3, 10 am - 4 pm (Craft Fair during these hours also)
Sunday, Dec 5, Noon - 3 pm

Our club participated in the annual Wolfeboro Parks and Recreation Fall Festival . Members demonstrated flower arranging and created beautiful bouquets in vases for sale at the table. Flowers were donated from members' gardens. (see photo above)
We also used this opportunity to promote club membership and our upcoming wreath sale fundraiser.
At right, Sue Kilroy arrives with stunning flowers for the arrangements.
Masses of flowers were delivered and pre-sorted.
Work tables were prepared.
Members were instructed in floral design elements by local florist, Linda Siracusa.
Delicious treats were provided by the hospitality committee.
Fresh flower arrangements were made by members Sarah Hall, Linda Siracuso, Debra Long-Smith, and Joyce Lake Denise Ferriman shared flowers from her garden. Bobbie Stave was leading lady for the Garden "Green Thumb" tent and also provided daylilies dug from her garden.

The float for 2022 was designed to encourage planting for pollinators.

The beautiful plants that rode with us on our float were planted in the Ledges pollinator garden, one of the town gardens that we steward.
Garden Club members enjoyed a delightful and delicious luncheon at Bald Peak in June. The entertainment and tablescapes were spectacular.

Our started with a brief presentation by Mr. Gagne and some Agriculture Science students from Kingswood. Their program is "WHY ARE POLLINATORS SO IMPORTANT AND WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP". The Board of Directors at the April meeting voted to contribute $2,000 to the Agricultural Science program at Kingswood from our Community Services budget. Mr. Gagne will be presented with the check at the meeting.
Jim Van Gyzen from Bartlett Trees (pictured at right) was our main speaker and discussed TREE HEALTH AND DISEASES.
Following this presentation, we held our annual meeting and vote for open officer and board positions.
Our guest at the April meeting of the Wolfeboro Garden Club was Daniel Furman, of Cricket Hill Garden, in Thomaston, Connecticut. He is an expert with long experience in peony growing. He discussed types of peonies, how peonies grow, and spring fertilization of peonies.
