CIVIC CONTRIBUTIONS AROUND WOLFEBORO
The Wolfeboro Garden Club plays an active role in the beautification and betterment of the communities we are proud to call home. A few of our civic contributions include:
- Planting and maintaining ten gardens in and around Wolfeboro.
- Contributed funds to create a Butterfly Garden at the Libby Museum.
- Creating and maintaining a Rain Garden at Bean Park in partnership with the town.
- Providing Christmas wreaths with hand-tied bows to town buildings, churches, and non-profits.
- Providing poinsettias for local nursing homes and VNA/Hospice patients.
- Participating in the Festival of Trees fund raiser.
- Awarding scholarships to local students pursuing studies in environmental sciences, horticulture, botany, forestry, conservation, plant sciences or landscaping.
- Donating funds to the Lakes Region 9 Technical Center to help students in the Agricultural Sciences program with specialized projects.
- Creating floral arrangements for the Wolfeboro Public Library.
