October is WGC's Library Floral Arrangement Month
Week #1 - Joyce Lake
Each week in October a floral design by one of our members will be featured at the library. Sandy Lowe organized members to create these lovely displays weekly.

Dianne Mrak, American Daffodil Society medal winner, brought her fifty years of experience with daffodils to share with us. We're all better informed as to how to care for the daffodils in our gardens.

Our table at the Fall Festival helped to advertize our club and also to raise some funds through donations made for arrangements made by our members. We raised $151.

April Meeting - A Wonderful Speaker!
The Heirloom Gardener by John Forti
John Forti
Our April Speaker was John Forti. He is a gardener, a garden designer, an author, and sought-after lecturer. Thousands on Facebook follow his posts where he blogs as the Heirloom Gardener. He is the Executive Director of Bedrock Gardens in Lee, NH. He has held other notable positions in the past.
February Meeting was Full of Information
February's meeting was a fascinating presentation by Shelly McGee and Susan Poirier on creating a pollinator-friendly garden. They have a wealth of information on pollinator gardens and everyone enjoyed the meeting immensely, and came out with new knowledge.
Both presenters are active with the local Food Pantry Garden and the Club gave a donation to the Garden to honor them.
January Meeting Highlights
Ben Kilham of the Kilham Bear Center in Lyme, NH
Dr. Kilham discussed the center's charitable mission to rescue, rehabilitate and release orphaned, abandoned, and injured black bear cubs.
Wonderful refreshments were served by the hospitality committee.
